Junior Technical Sales Manager for the APAC region based in Singapore.

The Junior Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for the industry segments Coatings and Polymers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and eventually others. This list of assigned countries may be adjusted as per company strategy. Current relevant customer base in the territories consists of 10 buying customers with 3,5 M Revenues. Reporting to Regional Head of Sales Division Material Science, Team of 4 Sales Managers. There will be a regular and close collaboration with the Global Marketing team and R&D.

This individual must have 2 - 3 years experience in Sales and Commercial, Polymers (flame retardants, CTI, laser marking) and Coatings within the chemical upstream industry to support the growth of the Southeast Asia business. The individual will be in charge to develop the strategic sales approach and technically assist customers, R&D departments at all levels. With a background in the Polymers or CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers), he/she should demonstrate excellent knowledge of the market dynamics. Experience with both, specialty chemicals AND commodity chemicals is highly requested. The Technical Sales Manager will participate in the sales processes with current and potential clients in that region and with experience in additives, he/she will enlarge the market share in industries in Southeast Asia, specifically Vietnam.

In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following essential experience and qualities:

Fluency in English written and spoken, Vietnamese and Mandarin of advantage

Readiness to travel throughout AP and make periodical visits to customers (minimum 50% of the working time). The individual is either Singaporean and already based in SG or is Singapore PR.

For Polymers, the additives are mainly used in Engineering Plastics compounds (like PA, PBT compounds) and Polyolefine compounds (like PP compounds) which are converted (normally by injection molding) into all kind of parts/components which will be assembled into Automotive, Electrical Appliance, etc.
