Junior System Engineer - Job Description

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in system administration or IT support.
• Fresh graduates with relevant certifications may also be considered.

Requirements

• CCNA certification or equivalent networking qualification (preferred).
• Basic understanding of:
  Virtualization (e.g., VMs)
  Cybersecurity concepts (firewalls, antivirus, etc.)
• Willingness to learn and support both senior engineers and end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with daily operational tasks such as system setup and equipment deployment.
• Support users during cyber exercises, including preparing laptops, configuring Windows logins, and troubleshooting issues.
• Perform basic system administration tasks, including:
  Routine O&S checks (servers, storage, system health)
  System backups and OS patching
  Configuring IPs, VLANs, and vNICs for training environments
• Provision new servers and client VMs under guidance.
• Participate in documentation and reporting of technical activities.
