Job Description

We are seeking a technically competent and commercially driven Sales Engineer to join our team, focusing on chillers and engineered solutions. This role plays a key part in driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, and securing project opportunities across a competitive engineering landscape.

Operating in a project-based environment with multiple stakeholders, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, supporting tender processes, and delivering technical and commercial solutions tailored to customer requirements.

You will work closely with consultants, contractors, service engineers, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution and long-term customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow the department's customer base and project pipeline
  • Lead sales activities for chillers and related products across current and upcoming projects
  • Proactively track and follow up on project opportunities, including identifying awarded consultants, main contractors, and mechanical contractors
  • Conduct technical presentations to owners, consultants, and engineering companies to promote products and after-sales services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships through regular customer visits
  • Support stakeholders in project development and specification stages (spec-in activities)
  • Participate in tender submissions including cost estimation, preparation of compliant lists, and bidding documents
  • Perform detailed technical and financial analysis to evaluate project costs
  • Support technical clarifications and commercial negotiations during tender stages
  • Manage existing customer accounts and provide after-sales plans and proposals
  • Work with vendors to obtain costings and prepare competitive quotations
  • Negotiate terms and secure purchase orders from customers
  • Coordinate with service engineers to support delivery and on-site project execution when required
  • Ensure smooth handover and alignment between sales and operations teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates of customer visits, project details, and activities in CRM systems (e.g., Kintone)
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the reporting manager

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred); other engineering disciplines may be considered
  • Prior sales experience of 2 to 3 years in an engineering or technical environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to large groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Candidates with Class 3 License and own vehicle will be preferred
