Junior Quality Engineer

• Position: Junior Quality Engineer (ISO 9001 / ISO 13485)
• Location: Loyang Lane, a few bus stops from Tampines East MRT
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm
• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to S$3,700 basic + 1 to 2 months variable bonus, 20 days annual leave and medical benefits
• Employment Type: 1-year contract, renewable or convertible to permanent
• Industry: Electronics Manufacturing

After-hours site attendance may occasionally be required.

Main Responsibilities

• Support incoming, in-process and outgoing quality activities covering IQC, IPQC and OQC.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements.
• Investigate manufacturing non-conformances using root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
• Track CAPA implementation and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Support internal, customer and certification audits, including documentation preparation and closure of findings.
• Review FAI documents, supplier quality risks and applicable product compliance requirements.
• Support compliance activities involving RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals and related requirements.
• Maintain calibration records and monitor the calibration status of measuring and test equipment.
• Prepare quality reports and analyze manufacturing quality performance.
• Apply quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, Control Plans and GR&R.
• Work with Production, Engineering, suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in cross-functional quality and process improvement projects.
• Provide quality-related support to team members when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline.
• At least 1 to 2 years of manufacturing quality experience.
• Candidates with relevant internship or hands-on quality experience may also be considered.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and ISO audits is preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 is preferred exposure to ISO 13485 will be an advantage.
• Experience using quality tools such as CAPA, 8D, FMEA and root cause analysis.
• Able to prepare quality documentation and support internal, customer or certification audits.
• Willing to attend to occasional after-hours site requirements when operationally necessary.
