Junior QHSE Officer

Job Title : QHSE Officer (Marine Industry)

Role :

Seeking a motivated and detail -oriented Junior QHSE officer to support our Quality, Health , Safety and Environmental initiatives within the marine industry. Role involve assisting in compliance monitoring, safety inspections, documentation, and supporting operational teams to ensure safe, efficient and environmentally responsible practices.

Key Responsibilities :

Health & Safety - Assist in conducting daily workplace

Monitor compliance with safety regulations (ISM code, OSHA, IMO , local laws).

Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.

Support incident/accident investigations and follow-up actions

Environment Compliance- Assist in monitoring waste management , pollution control

Participate in spill prevention initiatives and emergency drills.

Record and track environmental performance indicators

Quality Assurance - Support the implementation of QMS in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.

Assist in internal audits, inspections and follow up of corrective actions

Maintain updated documentation of QHSE policies , procedures and checklists.

Documentation & Reporting - Maintain records of safety inspections, risk assessment, Permit to work , and incident logs.

Prepare QHSE reports for management review.

Update emergency response plan and safety manuals.

Training & Development - Support toolbox talks, safety briefings and crew inductions.

Participate in organizing safety and emergency drills

Engage in continuous learning and QHSE training programs.

Requirement : Diploma in Occupational Safety Environment Science , Marine Engineering or related field

Candidates : Fresh graduates or 1-2yrs relevant

Knowledge of marine industry regulations

Familiar with ISO standards

Strong attention to deal , willingness to learn and ability to work in team environments

Good communication skills both written and spoken
