Our client is a fastgrowing fintech company operating with the agility and culture of a startup. As they continue to expand their technology team, they are looking for a motivated Junior QA/QC Engineer who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow with the organisation. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with developers, product teams, and senior QA professionals to support the buildout of highquality, scalable products in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage and validate that features meet requirements.
- Proactively identify issues, risks, and gaps at both the requirements and technical levels, collaborating closely with the team to resolve them.
- Identify, document, triage, and track defects, ensuring clear communication of issues to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks across various products in alignment with the overall test strategy.
- Build and maintain test reporting systems and dashboards to improve visibility of testing metrics and activities.
- Work closely with developers to support solutioning and ensure requirements are fully understood and met.
- Document test results, create test summary reports for each test cycle, and ensure QA documentation is up to date.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve QA practices.
- Report directly to the QA Manager and support R&D initiatives related to QA/QC.
- Provide QA/QC support across multiple ongoing project implementations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computing, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience
- Proven experience in software quality assurance with strong knowledge of manual testing techniques, QA fundamentals, and testing methodologies.
- Handson experience with at least one test automation framework in the following areas:
- Web applications: e.g., Karate, Playwright, Selenium
- Mobile applications: e.g., Maestro, Appium
- APIs: e.g., Karate, Playwright, Postman
- Strong documentation skills, including writing test scenarios and cases using Gherkin syntax.
- Knowledge or experience with Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with Gitbased tools such as GitLab or GitHub.
- Proactive, selfmotivated, and able to work independently.
