About the Role:

An International Ship Registry is looking for a motivated and highly dedicated Junior Operations Manager to join our Singapore-based team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth administrative and regulatory functions of our ship registry, focusing on vessel registration,seafarer certification (crewing), and international compliance.

This is an entry-level position. While we do not require prior experience in the maritime sector, we are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn the complexities of international maritime regulations and apply modern technology to streamline operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registry Operations: Assist in processing ship registration applications and maintaining the official registry database.
  • Crewing & Certification: Review and process seafarer documentation and endorsements in accordance with STCW conventions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Support the team in monitoring vessel compliance with international conventions (e.g., MARPOL, SOLAS, MLC).
  • Liaison: Coordinate with shipowners, managers, and international maritime authorities to resolve operational queries.

Requirements & Competencies:

  • Educational Background: A Diploma or Degree in any field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Digital Literacy & AI Savvy:
    - Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams).

    - A high degree of comfort learning new digital platforms and database management systems.
  • Analytical Thinking: The ability to process complex information and identify patterns or compliance gaps.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal English skills to communicate effectively with a global clientele.
