- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Application/Production Support, preferably within the banking domain
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Linux/Unix and SQL
- Recent experience working with Java / J2EE applications
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in application support developers with strong Java knowledge and willingness to move into support are also encouraged
- Proficiency in Java / J2EE programming concepts
Technical Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and SQL queries
- Experience with web applications and batch job processing
- Familiarity with application servers such as JBoss
- Experience with databases like MariaDB and other SQL-based systems
- Basic knowledge of shell scripting
- Understanding of job scheduling tools, MQ setup, and file transfer tools (e.g., Connect:Direct) is an added advantage
Additional Skills & Attributes:
- Exposure to the banking or financial services industry is a plus
