Junior Java Developer (Contract)

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications under guidance from senior developers.
• Write and optimize Bash scripts for automation, deployments, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues to ensure optimum performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate new features and improve system functionality.
• Assist in writing unit tests and maintaining documentation related to code and processes.
• Work with version control systems such as Git for code management and collaboration.
• Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Core Java, OOP concepts, and basic design patterns.
• Experience writing and running Bash shell scripts on Linux/Unix environments.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP concepts.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of software development best practices and version control (Git).
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
