The Role

We are now hiring a Singapore-based Junior Investment Analyst to join the team. This is an entry-level investment role designed for someone early in their career who wants to break into venture capital, startups, gaming, consumer technology, or investing.

We are looking for someone who is highly curious, analytical, AI-native, and excited about emerging technology, startups, and consumer products. You should be comfortable using AI tools daily to research markets, analyse businesses, synthesize information, and improve your own productivity.

You Will

• Research markets, startups, and emerging technology trends across gaming, AI, and consumer applications

• Support investment due diligence through market mapping, financial analysis, competitor research, and product evaluation

• Review inbound opportunities and assist with deal sourcing

• Prepare investment memos, presentations, summaries, and internal research documents

• Use AI tools daily to improve research quality, speed, and operational efficiency

• Support portfolio companies with research, benchmarking, and operational requests

• Assist with internal fund operations and reporting where needed

• Attend startup, gaming, and technology events in Singapore and internationally

• Work directly with founders, operators, and investors from around the world

• Contribute to Play Ventures broader ecosystem and community initiatives

You Need

• To be based in Singapore and eligible to work locally

• A degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or a related field

• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills

• Excellent written English and strong attention to detail

• To be highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities

• A high level of curiosity about startups, technology, AI, and investing

• Confidence using AI tools

• A proactive, self-starter mindset with a willingness to learn quickly

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a small, collaborative team environment

Nice to have:

• Interest in gaming, consumer apps, or digital entertainment

• Internship or work experience in finance, startups, consulting, gaming, or technology

• Experience building side projects, communities, content, or AI workflows
