Job Summary
Support the design and execution of commercial office, laboratory, and cleanroom projects by developing layouts, preparing detailed drawings, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and executing corporate office, laboratory, and cleanroom projects to meet client needs and project goals
- Develop space planning layouts, mood boards, and client presentations to communicate design concepts effectively
- Prepare detailed drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and 3D visualizations to support project development
- Coordinate project activities from concept design through to completion to ensure timely delivery and quality standards
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to resolve technical and site-related issues promptly
- Source materials, finishes, and equipment appropriate for office and controlled environments to meet functional and aesthetic requirements
- Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, budgets, timelines, and relevant regulations to maintain standards and client satisfaction
- Assist in preparing submission drawings and documentation to support regulatory approvals and project milestones
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or related discipline
- Proficient use of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to produce accurate and professional design outputs
- Strong understanding of space planning and technical detailing to create functional and compliant designs
- Effective communication and coordination skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented approach to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in design & build projects within Singapore to navigate local project requirements effectively
- Familiarity with local regulations and submission processes such as BCA guidelines to support compliance
- Exposure to laboratory or cleanroom standards (e.g., GMP, ISO classifications) to enhance design suitability for controlled environments
- Knowledge of M&E coordination and technical services integration to support comprehensive project delivery
- Basic rendering skills using tools like Enscape or V-Ray to create visual presentations
