Job Summary
An Interior Design Drafter in Singapore mainly produces detailed technical drawings, supports designers, and ensures designs can be built correctly on site.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, ceiling plans, electrical layouts, and joinery/carpentry details such as cabinets and counters
- Produce shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings after project completion
- Translate interior designers concepts, sketches, or mood boards into accurate, buildable CAD drawings
- Collaborate closely with interior designers, project managers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and drawing clashes
- Modify and update drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, and design changes while maintaining version control and documentation
- Conduct site visits to take measurements, verify existing conditions, and ensure drawings align with actual construction
- Create 3D models using software such as SketchUp or 3ds Max and develop renderings or visuals to support presentations and material selection
- Ensure all drawings comply with Singapore building regulations, project specifications, and authority submission requirements
- Utilize common software tools including AutoCAD (mandatory), SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator
