Role Overview
The Junior Insurance Broker will support senior brokers in the placement, servicing, and administration of insurance programmes for corporate and international clients. This role is designed as a structured entry point into the insurance broking profession, providing hands-on exposure to the international insurance and reinsurance markets, client servicing, risk placement, and regulatory processes.
The successful candidate will develop technical insurance knowledge, strong client-facing skills, and an understanding of Price Forbes specialist approach to risk advisory and broking.
Key Responsibilities
Broking & Client Support
- Support senior brokers in the day-to-day servicing of insurance accounts, including new business, renewals, endorsements, and policy administration.
- Assist in preparing placement slips, endorsements, and other insurance documentation for submission to insurers and reinsurers.
- Learn and support the insurance placement process, including market submissions, follow-ups with underwriters, and tracking of placement status.
- Provide timely and professional responses to client, insurer, and internal stakeholder queries.
Technical & Documentation
- Produce clear, accurate, and compliant insurance documents in line with regulatory and internal standards.
- Assist with policy wordings, clauses, warranties, subjectivities, and confirmations of cover.
- Maintain accurate and orderly electronic and physical files in accordance with company procedures.
- Support premium and commission calculations, due dates, and tracking in coordination with Finance.
Compliance & Governance
- Support KYC, sanctions checks, and onboarding requirements for clients and markets.
- Adhere to all regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements, including MAS and internal E&O procedures.
- Escalate any potential errors, omissions, or compliance issues promptly to senior team members.
Learning & Development
- Develop an understanding of the international insurance and reinsurance markets and Price Forbes areas of specialism.
- Learn internal systems, tools, and processes used for broking, tracking, and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Singapore, London, and global offices to support cross-border client needs.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related discipline
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
Desirable
- Prior internship or work experience in insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or professional services
- Interest in developing a long-term career in insurance broking
- Familiarity with insurance terminology or policy structures (an advantage but not required)
