Junior Financial Accountant (12-Month Contract)

About the Role
Our client is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant supporting the Compliance/Accounting Team.

This role is ideal for candidates with a strong solid accounting foundation, audit knowledge, reconciliation skills, and understanding of sub-ledger / general ledger fundamentals. 

Key Responsibilities

• Primarily provide general accounting and compliance support.
• Understanding the flow of POs, DOs and invoices to support the team.
• Coordinate statutory audit requests, tax filings and compliance requirements to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare, review and consolidate audit support schedules, statutory reports and compliance documentation.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on IFRS and statutory compliance requirements.
• Support regional compliance projects, internal control initiatives and Group Audit activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting compliance, financial reporting, tax or financial compliance.
• Inventory exposure will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors, tax agents and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
