Job Summary
As a DevOps Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and automation tools. You will act as Business Analyst and work closely with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our applications. You will be a key contributor to our continuous improvement efforts, ensuring our environments are always reliable, secure, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain computer software and specialized utility programs to support infrastructure needs
- Develop and enhance automation tools to provision infrastructure, manage configurations, and streamline deployment processes
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines that automate application deployment and improve delivery speed
- Monitor infrastructure and application performance, diagnose issues, and execute troubleshooting to ensure high availability and reliability
- Implement and enforce security best practices to maintain compliance with industry standards and protect system integrity
- Research and stay current with emerging DevOps technologies and trends to continuously improve platform capabilities
- Drive the evolution of DevOps culture and processes by contributing ideas and leading initiatives that enhance team efficiency and collaboration
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficient in UNIX platforms and managing database systems including SQL, Oracle, Sybase, and Big Data environments
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Shell script, and PowerShell to automate tasks and workflows
- Experienced with automation frameworks and libraries to build scalable infrastructure solutions
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and technologies including GitLab, Ansible, Jenkins, Maven, Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, Kafka, Confluence, Jira, and MQ Series
- Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledgeable in AWS Cloud platforms and services for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure
