MSE Engineering and Management Consultants was established on 1st January 1983 the Principals are Alec Chew Khek Han and John Lim Kheng Hock. Both partners have more than four decades of practical experience in the administration of various civil and structural engineering works. Previous projects undertaken by the partners range from flyovers, water supply schemes, low cost housing, hotels, hospitals, churches, high rise condominiums, airport buildings, institutional and commercial buildings, and industrial complexes. The firm also offers management services to contractors undertaking government projects. Since 2000, a consortium of association has been formed with world renowned engineer Dr. Alfred Yee of Precast Design Consultants who now shares an office with us to serve a wider spectrum of clientele requiring varied engineering consultation and management. Job Summary

Perform civil and structural engineering design and analysis for Good Class Bungalows, supporting project delivery and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute civil and structural engineering design tasks to develop safe and compliant bungalow structures
• Analyze structural components using engineering software to validate design integrity and performance
• Apply BS/EU structural design codes specifically for bungalow projects to ensure regulatory compliance
• Utilize design software such as Tekla, Tedds, Staad, Plaxis, Esteem, AutoCad, GStarCAD, and SketchUp to produce accurate engineering models and drawings
• Collaborate with Project Director and management by providing timely design updates and technical reports
• Assist senior engineers in conducting visual on-site inspections and drafting detailed inspection reports when required

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in civil/structural engineering design

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Familiarity with local design standards and codes to enhance project relevance and compliance
