Job Summary
Assist in preparing Japanese dishes by performing precise food preparation tasks, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, supporting cooking stations, ensuring food quality and hygiene, and managing inventory under supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients for dishes such as sashimi, donburi, and ramen
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning work areas
- Support hot kitchen cooking stations under supervision to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor and uphold food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards consistently
- Assist in conducting inventory checks and restocking supplies to maintain kitchen readiness
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment to meet service demands
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred, not mandatory)
- Demonstrate interest in Japanese cuisine and culture
- Possess at least 1 year of relevant culinary experience
Other Information
Working Hours: Lunch and dinner shifts, including weekends and public holidays 9 hours per day, 6 working days per week
