Job Description

Job Summary

Assist in preparing Japanese dishes by performing precise food preparation tasks, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, supporting cooking stations, ensuring food quality and hygiene, and managing inventory under supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients for dishes such as sashimi, donburi, and ramen
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning work areas
  • Support hot kitchen cooking stations under supervision to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor and uphold food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards consistently
  • Assist in conducting inventory checks and restocking supplies to maintain kitchen readiness
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment to meet service demands

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred, not mandatory)
  • Demonstrate interest in Japanese cuisine and culture
  • Possess at least 1 year of relevant culinary experience

Other Information

Working Hours: Lunch and dinner shifts, including weekends and public holidays 9 hours per day, 6 working days per week
