Location: based in Singapore (with frequent travel to China in the initial 6 months)
Report to: Singapore-based CFO
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Responsible for the preparation of 2 Singapore companies (1 Investment Holding and 1 Operating company) and consolidated financial statements, including month-end closing, reconciliation and preparing reports.
- Accounts Receivable/Payable: Managing customer and supplier accounts, including calculating balances and reconciling with totals.
- Data Entry and Maintenance: Recording and processing all business transactions within the accounting system and supporting system, ensuring accuracy and using double-entry accounting principles.
- System Management & Enhancement: Utilizing accounting software/ERP system and other relevant IT systems for data entry, retrieval, and analysis. Work with various stakeholders to conduct system integration and new system development etc. Documenting system and business process flow.
- Import & Export Business: Liaise with stakeholders to follow through on production import export, country of origin certificate and generate relevant invoices and shipment documentation.
- Others: support Singapore-based CFO on projects or other ad-hoc tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong IFRS accounting knowledge with preference on those with exposure to China and Indonesia.
- Problem-solving skills: Addressing and resolving accounting issues that may arise.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders. Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin languages.
- Organizational skills: Managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Attention to detail: Accuracy and precision are crucial for data entry and financial reporting.
- IT proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and other relevant systems.
