As a Junior Designer at Royal Insignia, you will support the design team in producing compelling visual content across various media, including print, digital, and product presentations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your design skills within a luxury brand environment, working closely with senior creatives and cross-functional teams.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Produce artwork, illustrations, and graphic documents to support design presentations and project proposals.
- Create 2D artwork (sketching and rendering) with digital illustration tools that assist in visualizing and developing 3D concepts.
- Record accurate measurements and design references.
- Develop design plans, specifications, and supporting documentation for both internal teams and external partners.
- Assist in the creation of presentation materials, mock-ups, and production-ready samples to communicate design intent and quality.
- Support the in-house photographer during product shoots and document manufacturing processes through photography and video as needed.
- Operate digital cameras and apply basic photography techniques to capture high-quality product images.
- Edit and retouch photographs using photo editing software to enhance visual appeal and maintain brand standards.
- Collaborate with the team to support product shoots and ensure accurate documentation of manufacturing processes.
- Operate design-related equipment such as laser cutters and flatbed printers when required.
- Stay informed on the latest trends, materials, techniques, and technologies relevant to design, with a particular focus on the luxury lifestyle industry.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Visual Communication, Product/Industrial Design, Fine Arts, or any related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Proficiency in digital illustration tools, especially software like Procreate, with a strong ability to generate visual ideas and develop concepts from initial sketches to finished artwork.
- Strong foundational drawing skills are a plus, enabling effective communication of ideas and rapid prototyping during the design process.
- Basic understanding of design theory and knowledge of major design movements and their underlying theories, with the ability to apply insights from styles.
- Basic photography skills, including knowledge of operating cameras and understanding of lighting and composition principles.
- Ability to edit and retouch product photographs using photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom to ensure high-quality visual presentation.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Good communication skills and ability to take constructive feedback.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A portfolio showcasing creative design work (academic, personal, or professional projects).
