Responsibilities

Source, verify, and assess global news information from wires, agencies, contacts, and social platforms
Pitch, research, and produce digital-first stories on global affairs and major world events
Monitor global news cycles and identify relevant angles for local audiences
Film, script, and edit short-form videos including explainers and updates
Use social media for news gathering, verification, and amplification
Deliver original, exclusive, and enterprise stories with depth and context
Produce explainers, analyses, timelines, and follow-up content
File real-time updates during breaking global news
Collaborate with editors and correspondents on storytelling approaches

Qualifications

Degree in journalism, international relations, political science, or any discipline
Strong news sense and understanding of international affairs and geopolitics
Creative and analytical storyteller with strong digital instincts
Awareness of digital news trends and global media ecosystems
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to work independently under breaking-news pressure
Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays
