As a Sports Journalist at Lianhe Zaobao, you will be the pulse of our sports coverage. We are looking for a candidate who is deeply knowledgeable about the sports landscape. This role requires individuals with a sharp nose for news who can produce rigorous, fact-based reporting for both print and digital platforms. You will ensure that all breaking news and commentaries are clear, concise and engaging for Lianhe Zaobao's audiences across every channel.
Requirements
- Degree in Journalism, Media, Chinese Studies or related discipline. Prior experience in news reporting is preferred but strong portfolio will be considered;
- Effectively bilingual (English/Chinese), with excellent writing and conversational skills. You must demonstrate the ability to translate complex sports nuances into accurate, engaging Chinese content;
- Strong interest in and passion for sports news (local and international) and current affairs;
- Familiar with Social Media platforms. You must be able to adapt news content into social formats to drive engagement;
- Competency in photography, video filming and editing is a distinct advantage;
- A self-motivated and driven individual who possesses an inquisitive mind with a nose for news;
- Able to work independently under pressure as well as collaborate effectively across teams;
- Ability to multitask, adapt to changes and willingness to work irregular hours to cover sporting events
