Java / SQL Developer (Data Migration)

We are looking for a Java / SQL Developer to support a data migration project for a corporate banking client. The role will focus on migrating databases to MariaDB, converting stored procedures, tuning SQL performance, and developing Java applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data and database object migration to MariaDB.
• Develop, convert, and optimise stored procedures.
• Perform SQL tuning to improve query and batch performance.
• Develop and enhance Spring Boot services and REST APIs.
• Build and maintain Spring Batch jobs for data processing.
• Support data validation and reconciliation for high-volume corporate data.
• Participate in testing, defect resolution, and cutover activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch and REST APIs.
• Strong MariaDB / SQL skills, including stored procedures and SQL performance tuning.
• Experience in data migration or database migration projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Banking or financial services experience corporate banking exposure is an advantage.
• Experience with legacy-to-new platform migration projects.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
