Java/SQL Developer

We're seeking an experienced Java/SQL Developer to join our team. This role requires a versatile technologist who can design, develop, and maintain full stack applications that deliver real business impact for our clients.

Role Overview

Support a data migration project for a corporate banking client, covering database migration to MariaDB, stored procedure conversion, SQL performance tuning, and supporting Java application development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Migrate data and database objects to MariaDB

2. Develop, convert, and optimize stored procedures

3. Perform SQL tuning to improve query and batch performance

4. Develop and enhance Spring Boot services and REST APIs

5. Build and maintain Spring Batch jobs for data processing

6. Support data validation and reconciliation (corporate data volume approx. 250k-300k records)

7. Participate in testing, defect fixing, and cutover activities

8. Prepare technical documentation

Required Skills

1. 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience

2. Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and REST API

3. Strong MariaDB/SQL skills, including stored procedures and SQL tuning

4. Experience in data migration or database migration projects

5. Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred

1. Banking or financial services domain exposure (corporate banking is a plus)

2. Experience with legacy-to-new platform migrations
