Job Summary
Seeking an Intermediate Java Developer will build, enhance, and support the bank's central market data platform (CARD) using Java and Spring Boot. The role involves delivering high-quality solutions and providing L3 support while ensuring reliable data integration across Capital Markets systems
Mandatory Skill-set
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
- Must have 4 years of experience in Java and Spring Boot;
- Must have development experience with Asset Control or NeoXam solutions;
- Solid understanding of OOPs, design principles, SOLID, unit testing, and integration testing;
- Good experience with Linux/Unix and shell scripting (sh, bash/KSH);
- Skilled in RESTful API design and development (Swagger/OpenAPI);
- Experience with Maven, Git, GitLab CI/CD, Jira;
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud Fundamentals (Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, S3, Redshift);
- Experience with Java OpenTelemetry and ElasticSearch for application observability;
- Strong debugging skills and ability to analyse complex code flows.
Desired Skill-set
- Web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular;
- Security by design principles;
- MongoDB & Redis;
- Control-M, CFT, MQSeries;
- Knowledge of Asset Control (Alveo) market data integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain the CARD application, ensuring high-quality and well-tested code;
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and support user acceptance testing;
- Analyse and resolve production issues, providing Level 3 support and ensuring system stability;
- Participate in deployment, release cycles, and change management activities;
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and technology upgrades;
- Document solutions, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure smooth operation of the platform.
