Java Microservices Developer

We are seeking a Java Microservices Developer for a permanent position in Singapore. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade backend systems with a solid emphasis on Core Java fundamentals, microservices architecture, and REST API development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on coding expertise, good problem-solving skills, and experience working in cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Backend development using Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Design and implement REST APIs for scalable enterprise applications.
• Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka for real-time data processing.
• Work with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) for persistence and query optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, testers, and DevOps engineers.
• Participate in live coding/problem-solving during interviews and demonstrate excellent algorithmic thinking.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, debugging, and adherence to best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Contribute to cloud/containerization initiatives using AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Skills Required

• Java 8/11/17 with excellent Core Java fundamentals.

• Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• REST APIs design and implementation.
• Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• OOPS concepts, collections framework, immutability, method overloading/overriding.
• Hands-on coding with ability to solve algorithmic problems.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes).
• Docker and containerization.
• CI/CD exposure with Jenkins, Git, Maven.
• Banking/financial services domain experience.
