Job Summary
You will gather and analyse user requirements to translate them into detailed application specifications. You will design, develop, test, implement, and maintain robust application systems or web-based applications that meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Analyse user requirements to define clear application specifications that align with business objectives
- Design and develop scalable application systems, including database design, to ensure data integrity and optimal performance
- Implement and maintain web-based applications using relevant frameworks and technologies to deliver reliable and efficient solutions
- Test application systems thoroughly to identify and resolve defects, ensuring high-quality software delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and deliverables effectively
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and optimise application performance
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Demonstrate experience with frameworks such as Angular/AngularJS, Apache Spark, Hibernate, Java Persistence API (JPA), Node.JS, Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), PrimeFaces, React, Spring Framework (Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Spring Web), and Struts
- Utilize Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) including Eclipse, JDeveloper, and Netbeans for efficient coding and debugging
- Apply knowledge of application servers such as JBoss Application Server (WildFly) to deploy and manage applications
- Understand architectural concepts and tools including messaging systems (e.g., IBM MQ), responsive web design, rules engines, service-oriented architecture, Weblogic, and Websphere
- Program proficiently in Java, JavaScript, Extensible Markup Language (XML), and HTML to develop dynamic and interactive applications
- Employ asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX), JavaServer Faces (JSF), and web services including REST, SOAP, and Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP) for enhanced application functionality
- Work with operating environments such as Linux, MS SQL, Open System Environment, Unix, Windows, Unix platforms, and AWS to support diverse deployment scenarios
- Manage databases including DB2, Oracle, and MS SQL to ensure data accessibility and integrity

- Working Hours: 8:30AM to 6:00PM (Mon-Fri)
- Salary: $6000 - 8000 per month (no bonus)
