Java Developer

I am partnered with a global, technology-driven financial services firm that operates at the forefront of electronic trading. We are looking for a Java Developer to help build and optimise the systems that power real-time trading across international markets.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain proprietary, low-latency systems and algorithms.

Day-to-day:

• Improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of existing systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement new solutions
• Developing tools for analysis, monitoring, and risk management

• Strong proficiency in Java
• Ability to design and build highly optimised, scalable systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to take initiative early
• Comfortable working across a variety of technologies and projects
• Experience with distributed or concurrent systems
• Exposure to low-latency or high-throughput environments
• Understanding of high transaction environments
• Interest in financial markets or trading technology
