Java Build & Release Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Developer with a strong blend of application development, DevOps integration, and deployment/release management experience. In this role, you will design, build, and support robust enterprise applications, driving deployment pipelines and ensuring smooth implementation cycles within a high-standard banking ecosystem.  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable back-end components using Java and Spring Boot.  
• Build, manage, and optimize Jenkins pipelines to drive automated build, testing, and continuous integration workflows.  
• Plan and execute end-to-end application deployments across User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production environments.  
• Administer environment configurations, troubleshooting, and automation tasks utilizing Linux and advanced Shell scripting.  
• Manage job scheduling, batch processing, and secure enterprise data flows leveraging products like Control-M, Aldon, and Connect:Direct.  
• Work closely with infrastructure, QA, security, and production support teams to ensure release governance, high availability, and operational stability.  

Requirements

• Minimum 6+ years of professional software engineering experience focusing on application development and implementation support.  
• Advanced proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.  
• Proven hands-on experience setting up and managing Jenkins and version-controlled CI/CD workflows.  
• Strong operational competence in Linux environments coupled with robust Shell scripting capabilities.  
• Practical knowledge and implementation experience with enterprise tools including Control-M, Aldon, and Connect:Direct.  
• Prior background working within a Banking or Financial Services technology environment.  
• Prior exposure to banking standard platforms, release tools, and change management frameworks (such as WCM, Aldon RDO, or UFW).  
• Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks, application security scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Veracode), and structured release governance.
