Java Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and related technologies

• Build scalable and high-performance n-tier web applications

• Develop RESTful and SOAP-based web services

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices

• Implement unit testing and participate in QA activities

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver stable solutions

• Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, and technical improvements

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, SQL, and related backend technology stack

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, scripting languages, and operating systems

• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, and complexity analysis

• Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot

• Strong Linux knowledge

• Experience in writing unit test cases using JUnit / TestNG

• Exposure to REST services and related technologies (XML, JSON, REST, SOAP)

• Familiarity with tools like Postman or any REST client

• Strong analytical, design, programming, and communication skills

Good to Have

• Experience with MongoDB and JPA/Hibernate

• Exposure to QA frameworks such as Karate and TestNG

• Knowledge of test automation frameworks

• Experience with latest JDK versions

• Java / J2EE certification

• Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns and best practices

• Experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

• Exposure to Test Driven Development (TDD)

• Experience in microservices architecture

• Hands-on experience with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift

• Experience with distributed systems and messaging platforms like Kafka and RabbitMQ
