Role Description The Japanese Teacher will deliver in-person lessons at Nami Japanese Academy's premises in Singapore, focusing on both JLPT preparation and conversational Japanese. This contract, on-site role involves planning and conducting engaging classes, assessing learner progress, and adapting teaching materials to meet diverse learner needs and levels. The teacher will provide clear explanations of grammar and vocabulary, guide learners in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and offer constructive feedback. The role also includes maintaining class records, collaborating with the academy on curriculum improvements, and supporting a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Japanese Teaching and Teaching, with a solid understanding of language pedagogy and classroom management.
• Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning and Education skills to design structured, goal-oriented lessons for different proficiency levels.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear instruction delivery and the ability to engage learners from varied backgrounds.
• Proficiency in Japanese (advanced or native-level) and good command of English for explanation and support.
• Relevant teaching certification, degree in Education, Japanese Language, or related field is preferred.
• Experience preparing learners for JLPT examinations and/or teaching conversational Japanese is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively with academy staff and commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful learning environment.
