The IVVQ Engineer is responsible for integrating software and hardware components within a complex radar system. The role involves coordinating and executing installation, check out, integration, testing, and system troubleshooting activities, while ensuring that all components work seamlessly together and meet functional and performance requirements.
Responsibilities:
For each phase of the radar's installation, checkout, integration, and testing on the frigate (for frigate #1 and frigate #2), the IVVQ Engineer:
- Plans and defines the activities and associated procedures aligning with the strategy defined by IVVQM.
- Supports the setup of test and operational environments.
- Executes the required tests including the acceptance tests with the customer.
- Analyzes recordings using specialized tools.
- Analyzes system/subsystem technical and functional issues, ensuring they are fully documented and logged in accordance with Thales internal processes.
- Consults experts as needed.
- Produces and delivers all documentation related to his activities.
- Works with the integration team (both local and TLF), the shipyard team, and the customer.
- Ensures synchronization with the TLF team and coordinates IVVQ activities.
- Following Thales processes and practices of IVVQ activities.
Additionally, the IVVQ Engineer is responsible for preparing and conducting System Operator and Maintenance Trainings.
Knowledge and Skills:
- 10 years of practical experience in IVVQ.
- Experience in testing of primary and secondary radars.
- Knowledge in radar embedded software.
- Knowledge in cyber solutions.
- Adept at troubleshooting issues quickly and efficiently.
- Team player with good communication, problem solving and collaboration skills.
- Aptitude to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary integrated team environment with colleagues based in remote sites or other countries.
- Strong customer relationship skills.
