Your role
Our Oil & Gas Downstream Client is looking for IT PMO Specialist who will support the PMO Manager in planning, governance, vendor transition execution, and transitiontorun, ensuring all systems and vendors carefully transitioned and stabilised by December 2027 without disruption to retail operations
Following completion of IT cutover and segregation from the seller's systems, the fuel retailing business is executing a multiyear transition into a strategic tobe'IT landscape, including evaluation, selection, and transition to new ITvendors across all key systems.
You will support the delivery of the tobe IT landscape by providing handson PMO execution, vendor transition coordination, and transitiontorun support across assigned systems or domains.
The role combines delivery discipline, coordination, and operational readiness, acting as a key execution layer between Business, vendors, and IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Programme &PMO Execution
- Support the maintenance of the integrated transformation and vendor transition plan through December 2027.
- Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues across assigned workstreams or systems.
- Maintain RAID logs and support mitigation and resolution actions.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly programme reporting for senior stakeholders.
2. VendorEvaluation & Transition Support
- Support vendor evaluation and selection activities, including:
- RFP/RFQ timelines and governance
- Evaluation scoring and documentation
- Coordination with IT, business, security, and procurement teams
- Support onboarding and transition planning for newly selected vendors.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer, access, documentation, and transition artefacts.
3. Vendor Transition Delivery & Coordination
- Coordinate daytoday execution of vendor transitions for assigned systems, including:
- Transition planning and sequencing
- Data migration, system replacement, or integration activities
- Dualrun and earlylife support phases
- Manage interdependencies between multiple vendors to minimise operational risk.
- Escalate transition risks impacting retail operations, payments, or compliance.
4. TransitiontoRun(T2R) & Operational Readiness
- Support formal transitiontorun (T2R) activities to ensure new systems and vendors are ready for BAU.
- Validate completion of:
- Runbooks, SOPs, and support documentation
- Ownership, RACIs, and escalation paths
- SLA and KPI frameworks
- Support handover to IT operations and managed service providers.
5. Risk, Control& Service Assurance
- Identify and track risks related to vendor transition, system stability, and service performance.
- Ensure transition activities align with:
- Security and cyber requirements
- Data privacy and regulatory obligations
- Payments and PCIDSS controls (where applicable)
- Support audit, assurance, and governance reviews related to the new IT landscape.
Key Deliverables
- Accurate and uptodate PMO artefacts and reporting
- Coordinated vendor transition activities for assigned systems
- Completed transitiontorun artefacts and BAU handovers
- Timely identification and escalation of delivery and operational risks
- Contribution to full vendor transition completion by December 2027
You are what we are looking for if you:
- Have 6-10 years in IT PMO, IT delivery, or IT transformation roles
- Have experience supporting vendor transitions or technology onboarding
- Have exposure to retail, fuel retailing, or operational IT environments
- Have experience working in multivendor, multisystem programmes
Skills
- Strong planning, coordination, and issue management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders
- Ability to work across business, IT, and vendor teams
- Structured, detailoriented, and deliveryfocused mindset
Preferred
- Experience with retail POS, payments, ERP, or enterprise platforms
- PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, or equivalent certification
