IT System Infrastructure Engineer

Job:

Support and maintain the company's enterprise IT infrastructure environment. You must have strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, SCCM/SCOM, VMware, and Active Directory, and will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our systems.

Role:

. Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting).

. Manage and support Active Directory, including: User and group management, GPOs, DNS and DHCP.

. Deploy, manage, and monitor systems using SCCM and/or SCOM.

. Support and maintain VMware virtualization platforms (VM provisioning, performance monitoring, troubleshooting).

. Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

. Handle incident resolution and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.

. Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects.

. Ensure systems comply with security policies and best practices.

. Maintain proper documentation of systems and procedures.

. Work closely with other IT teams (network, security, application support).

Requirements:

. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

. Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and system engineering.

. Strong experience with: Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy SCCM and/or SCOM (deployment, patching, monitoring) VMware vSphere/ESXi.

. Knowledge of system security and patch management best practices.

. Experience with scripting (PowerShell) is an advantage, but not mandatory.

. Experience with backup and recovery solutions is a plus.

. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

. Good communication and documentation skills.

. Able to work independently and as part of a team.

. Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies.

. Nice to have Microsoft certifications (e.g. MCSA, MCSE) or VMware certification (VCP).

. Experience in enterprise or data centre environments.

. Experience in supporting 24/7 or mission-critical systems.

. This role will need to secure a clearance, due to the sensitivity of the project.
