IT Support Specialist- planner

Details:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving Lifecycle Management (LCM) planning activities across the APAC region, while also supporting hardware lifecycle and asset management functions. This role requires a proactive individual with strong planning, coordination, communication, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

LCM Planning & Coordination

• Develop and maintain migration schedules, forecasts, weekly trackers, and 3-week outlooks.
• Plan and coordinate Windows migration cycles, VDI/DaaS adoption, and cloud migration initiatives.
• Communicate migration plans and schedules to end users and key stakeholders across APAC.
• Track migration progress using Management Studio and provide regular status updates to management.
• Update ServiceNow records and maintain accurate workflow documentation.
• Identify exceptions requiring parallel upgrades, such as EOL hardware or application compatibility issues.
• Review historical migration plans and adjust strategies for current migration cycles.
• Collaborate closely with other APAC LCM planners to ensure successful delivery of regional initiatives.
• Provide regular reporting, planning updates, and overall visibility of LCM activities to management.
  
  

Hardware Support & Lifecycle Services

• Perform break/fix support activities and coordinate hardware replacements.
• Execute lifecycle activities, including installations, moves, adds, and changes.
• Support physical installation, relocation, and handling of end-user computing devices and workplace technology equipment, including large-format displays.
  
  

Asset & Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records.
• Manage onsite inventory, including spare devices and loaner equipment.
• Support audit, compliance, and asset-tracking activities across the APAC region.
• Ensure effective tracking and management of hardware assets throughout their lifecycle.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a regional environment.
• Good understanding of Windows 10/11 upgrade and migration processes.
• Familiarity with VDI/DaaS solutions and cloud migration frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and workflow management tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to take ownership and drive initiatives independently.
• Experience in hardware asset tracking, inventory management, and lifecycle services.
