We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Utilities Systems Engineer to support the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of utility systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that critical systems-such as RO, purified water, clean steam, compressed air, and other facility utilities-meet stringent regulatory and operational standards.
The Position:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of utility systems supporting GMP manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards (e.g., cGMP, FDA, EMA) and internal quality protocols.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for utility-related issues.
- Support validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ for utility equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Manufacturing, Facilities) to ensure seamless utility support.
- Manage contractors and vendors for utility system upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor system performance and implement energy efficiency and reliability improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation including SOPs, maintenance logs, and change control records.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in utilities engineering within a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience in change controls for activities involving WFI, RO, clean steam, etc.
- Experience in TrackWise
- Strong knowledge of clean utility systems (WFI, PW, RO, clean steam, etc.).
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and validation practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of sustainability and energy conservation initiatives.
- Certification in GMP or pharmaceutical engineering is a plus.
