Our client is a well-established financial services organisation. They are looking for apermanenthands-onIT Support Engineer (Trading floor)to join their IT Operations team and provide frontline support to business users, with a strong focus on maintaining a stable and responsivetrading floor setup. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical issues in a high-pressure environment and wants exposure to trading-related support.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line IT support to internal users and assist with technical issues across desktops, laptops, phones, printers, trading terminals, and related devices
  • Respond to technical requests via phone or ticketing system and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network problems, and escalate more complex matters when needed
  • Support day-to-day operations on the trading floor to minimise downtime and ensure users can work smoothly
  • Monitor systems and infrastructure health, and follow up on any incidents or alerts
  • Track, document, and update support tickets, resolutions, and follow-up actions accurately
  • Assist with end-of-day processing checks and ensure reporting activities are completed successfully
  • Help with the administration of trading platforms and coordinate with vendors for system enhancements or upgrades
  • Work closely with internal IT teams to improve support processes and user experience
  • Support incident communication and provide updates to relevant stakeholders during outages or service disruptions

Job Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in desktop support, IT support, or helpdesk support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, hardware, software, and basic network issues
  • Open to shift work, including coverage for day, afternoon, night shifts, and public holidays when required
  • Experience supporting trading platforms or users in a financial services environment will be an advantage
  • Candidates without trading support experience may still be considered if they are technically strong in desktop support and willing to learn trading support over time
