Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide technical support and maintenance to our customer's computer systems, networks, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensure system uptime, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
2. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical problems, using diagnostic tools and techniques.
3. System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, backups, and system checks.
4. Network Support: Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security problems.
5. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to user inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations.
7. Collaboration: Work with other IT staff, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues.
8. Scheduled Standby Responsibilities:
- Be available 24/7 to respond to customer technical issues and emergencies
- Provide timely and effective support to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity
Requirements:
1. Education: ITE/Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in IT support, with a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Experience with help desk software and ticketing systems
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage stress effectively
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Certifications:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are a plus
Nice to Have:
1. Scripting: Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
2. Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
3. IT Service Management: Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
