Job Description

Job Title: IT Support Engineer - Office & Project Support

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on IT Support Engineer to set up, maintain and troubleshoot IT equipment and systems across our offices and project sites. The role covers computers, email accounts, servers, software updates, security patching and network connectivity, ensuring reliable daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and configure desktops, laptops, monitors, printers and other IT equipment.

  • Install operating systems, business applications and security software.

  • Create and manage employee email accounts, user access and permissions, including onboarding and offboarding.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, email and connectivity issues, providing timely support to staff.

  • Maintain servers and perform scheduled updates, security patching and routine health checks.

  • Monitor backups, investigate failures and support data recovery when required.

  • Set up and troubleshoot office and project-site networks, including Wi-Fi, routers, switches and cabling.

  • Carry out hands-on installation, configuration, testing and maintenance at project sites.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, service providers and project teams to resolve technical issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licences, configurations and support activities.

  • Schedule maintenance to minimise disruption and follow up on issues through to resolution.

Requirements

  • Diploma or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.

  • Preferably at least 2 years of relevant IT support or systems administration experience.

  • Practical experience with Windows computers, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and email administration.

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, user access management, backups and security patching.

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi.

  • Able to diagnose technical problems independently and explain solutions clearly to users.

  • Organised, responsible and comfortable performing hands-on work in offices and at project sites.

  • Willing to travel to project sites and provide occasional support outside normal working hours when required.

An Advantage

  • Experience supporting digital signage, kiosks, media players or other connected equipment.

  • Familiarity with Linux, NAS storage, firewalls, VPNs and endpoint management tools.
