Job Description

Resident Engineer (Desktop Support)

Location: Jurong, International Road / Quality Road (Onsite at client office - FMCG environment)

Overview

We are looking for a Resident Engineer (Desktop Support) to be deployed onsite with a leading global FMCG Client, supporting end-user computing environments.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on IT support, working closely with users to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite desktop / end-user support for hardware and software issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests (laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices)
  • Support Windows OS, Microsoft Office / M365 applications
  • Handle user account setup, access, and basic administration
  • Perform PC setup, installation, and configuration (IMACD)
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for issue resolution
  • Maintain asset records and update ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow)
  • Provide basic support for network connectivity and peripherals

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in desktop / IT support / EUC environment
  • Good knowledge of:
  • Windows OS & Microsoft Office / M365
  • Hardware troubleshooting (laptops, desktops)
  • Familiar with ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar)
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work onsite in a client-facing environment

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Active Directory / basic networking
  • Experience in enterprise or MNC environment
  • IT-related certification (e.g. CompTIA A+, ITIL)
