Resident Engineer (Desktop Support)
Location: Jurong, International Road / Quality Road (Onsite at client office - FMCG environment)
Overview
We are looking for a Resident Engineer (Desktop Support) to be deployed onsite with a leading global FMCG Client, supporting end-user computing environments.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on IT support, working closely with users to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite desktop / end-user support for hardware and software issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests (laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices)
- Support Windows OS, Microsoft Office / M365 applications
- Handle user account setup, access, and basic administration
- Perform PC setup, installation, and configuration (IMACD)
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for issue resolution
- Maintain asset records and update ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow)
- Provide basic support for network connectivity and peripherals
Requirements
- 1-4 years of experience in desktop / IT support / EUC environment
- Good knowledge of:
- Windows OS & Microsoft Office / M365
- Hardware troubleshooting (laptops, desktops)
- Familiar with ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar)
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to work onsite in a client-facing environment
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Active Directory / basic networking
- Experience in enterprise or MNC environment
- IT-related certification (e.g. CompTIA A+, ITIL)
