IT Storage Engineer

. Storage log information collection and analysis, reporting.
. Perform provisioning configuration review, provide suggestions to correct or optimize the configurations based on Huawei best parties, recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization.
. Test and verify the configuration change, new patch or new software release.
. Change Management including participation in the planning, approval, and implementation of any authorized change request.
. Generate regular operational reports using Customer-supplied or Huawei's tools.
. Participate in storage capacity measurement and capacity planning including capacity forecasting.
. Attend to and fix vulnerabilities found on Huawei's storage hardware and software products.
. Assist with detailed technical planning for future initiatives.
. Develop and deliver a set of recommendations for customer that outlines areas that could be significantly improved. These could be operational, technical, or support related.
. Increase Customers understanding and knowledge Of Huawei storage solutions to maximize Customer's benefit from Huawei product features and functionality.
. Assist in training Customer's staff in the most efficient and effective methods Of utilizing the Huawei solution capabilities.
. Conduct review meetings with Customer at a mutually agreed frequency, no less than monthly, to discuss the engagement status, issues, new requirements, and Customer's overall satisfaction.
. Coordinate any changes to the Statement of Work (whether cost impacting or not) with Customer in accordance with the Change Control process.
. Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable.
. Meet the customer at the conclusion of the engagement to assure that any applicable responsibilities are turned over to Customer.
. Able to do shift work based on customer requirement (eg: IT maintenance, patch and change management, monitoring and etc).

Requirement: -
. At least 5 years of experience in S3 storage environment.
. Familiar with object storage environment.
. Have good experience of storage hands on configuration and storage data migration.
. Familiar with technical principles of disaster recovery and backup solutions, and data migration solutions of storage.
. Experience on Daily Monitoring and able to support incidents/ issues.
. Basics in OS concepts of Windows/ Linux/Unix Systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, Solaris, AIX etc.).
. Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
. Strong customer focus & Multi-tasking skills.
