Key Requirements
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) administration
- Experience in High Availability (HA) clusters (e.g. Pacemaker/Corosync), including failover testing
- Strong troubleshooting skills in:
- OS performance (CPU, memory, I/O)
- Networking (DNS, routing)
- Storage (LVM, multipath)
- System services & logs
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s):
- kubectl, pods, deployments, services, ingress
- Troubleshooting (networking, DNS, scheduling)
- Knowledge of Linux networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewall, TLS/certificates)
- Experience in backup/restore and disaster recovery (DR) support
Key Responsibilities
1. RHEL Administration
- Build, configure, patch, and maintain RHEL 9.x servers
- Perform performance tuning, storage and filesystem management
- Monitor system health and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
2. High Availability (HA)
- Implement and support HA clusters (Pacemaker/Corosync or equivalent)
- Manage failover policies, resource groups, and cluster operations
- Conduct failover testing and support integrations (DNS, storage, etc.)
3. Backup & Recovery
- Manage backup solutions and perform restore validation
- Support disaster recovery (DR) drills and maintain recovery documentation
4. Kubernetes (VMware Tanzu)
- Support Kubernetes workloads (cluster health, node readiness)
- Troubleshoot pods, networking, and storage issues
- Deploy and manage applications using kubectl
- Configure ingress and service exposure
5. Documentation & Governance
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation
- Participate in change management and patch cycles
- Ensure compliance with security and system standards
