Job Description

We are seeking an IT Release Manager to oversee and govern technology releases for mission-critical digital platforms within a highly regulated, high-availability environment. In this pivotal role, you will manage end-to-end release activities, ensuring that all technology changes are planned, reviewed, and deployed in a controlled and compliant manner. Working closely with technology, operations, and quality teams, you will help safeguard service stability, operational resilience, and customer confidence.

Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating and managing multiple concurrent technology releases, maintaining the enterprise release calendar, and running release review forums. You will work closely with development and quality assurance teams to understand release scope, dependencies, and readiness, while ensuring proper segregation of duties in line with established policies and standards.

You will collaborate with operations, internal technology teams, and external partners to support smooth deployment and rollback planning, proactively identifying and mitigating release risks, conflicts, and issues. The role also involves communicating release plans and status updates to stakeholders, preparing release reporting for senior management, tracking release-related KPIs, and conducting post-implementation reviews for failed releases or releases that result in incidents. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives with a strong focus on resilience, risk management, and service reliability.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Release Management, preferably within regulated or high-availability environments such as financial services, payments, or similar industries. A strong understanding of IT Service Management frameworks (ITIL), software development life cycles, and release methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps is essential.
