Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end planning and execution of finance system implementation initiatives, including scope definition, schedule creation, and risk evaluation. Build detailed project plans aligned with the organisation's finance transformation roadmap, ensuring outcomes meet business needs within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Act as the central coordination point among business stakeholders, technical teams, senior leadership, and external partners throughout the project lifecycle. Organise regular stakeholder engagements, provide transparent progress reporting, and maintain effective communication across all organisational levels.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks during implementation. Define and enforce quality assurance standards, conduct periodic reviews, and implement corrective actions to ensure project goals and system performance expectations are achieved.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project artefacts, including key decisions, technical documentation, user requirements, and post-implementation learnings. Establish knowledge management practices to preserve institutional knowledge and support ongoing system maintenance and future enhancements.
- Support procurement activities for technology solutions, software licences, and professional services related to finance transformation initiatives. Oversee vendor evaluation, contract discussions, and ensure procurement processes comply with internal policies and relevant public-sector guidelines.
- Ensure project execution adheres to applicable regulatory requirements, internal audit standards, and governance frameworks. Maintain proper documentation, support audit reviews, and implement controls aligned with compliance obligations.
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional certification such as PMP, Agile Scrum Master, Product Management, or equivalent is preferred
- ITIL or other IT service management certifications are advantageous
- At least 7 years of ICT project management experience, including full lifecycle ERP implementation exposure
- Hands-on experience with at least one Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery cycle
- Strong capability in translating business requirements into system solutions
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Prior exposure to financial services environments (e.g., banking or insurance) is beneficial
- Certifications in major finance ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) are a plus
- Solid understanding of ERP finance solution best practices is advantageous
