Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Manager to oversee end-to-end procurement and contract management activities within the IT Department. This role is responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycleincluding sourcing, PR/PO processing, vendor coordination, contract drafting, negotiation, and administrationwhile ensuring strict compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

The Procurement Manager will work closely with business stakeholders to support IT initiatives, enhance procurement efficiency, and drive continuous improvement across procurement and contracting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and skilled at building strong partnerships with internal teams and external vendors, playing a key role in optimizing value, strengthening governance, and enabling the department's strategic objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Execution

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for IT procurement processes, supporting designated stakeholders.
  • Engage users to understand business requirements, technical needs, and strategic objectives.
  • Execute sourcing events through the Ariba system, including supplier engagement, evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of contracts.
  • Review and manage contracts and purchase orders (POs), ensuring clarity of deliverables, milestones, and service-level expectations.

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Lifecycle Management

  • Support stakeholders across the full P2P lifecycle, ensuring smooth integration between procurement, finance, and IT operations.
  • Handle and validate IT purchase requisitions (PRs) in compliance with procurement policies, approval workflows, and internal controls.
  • Identify irregularities, provide recommendations, and drive process enhancements to improve compliance and efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the P2P process flow.

Contract Management

  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle for IT procurement, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and submitting contracts for legal evaluation.
  • Manage and maintain contract documentation and ensure adherence to procurement processes and contractual standards.
  • Monitor contract expirations and ensure timely renewals to avoid service disruptions.
  • Prepare management reports on contract statuses, sourcing activities, procurement performance, and risk areas.

Compliance, Governance & Issue Resolution

  • Ensure all procurement and contracting activities comply with established frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve procurement and contract-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Participate in internal service review meetings and support third-party vendor performance reviews.
  • Recommend service improvements and ensure follow-through on governance action items.
  • Contributes to the enhancement of procurement governance, contract management practices, and overall operational controls.

Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with internal stakeholders through consistent communication, guidance, and partnership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring alignment between procurement strategies, contract terms, and business goals.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, contract clarity, and service continuity.
  • Lead or support ad-hoc projects, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional continuous improvement efforts.

Role Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management or any IT-related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in procurement for Manager.
  • Experience with Procurement processes (especially in Technology purchases) would be an added advantage.
  • Strong experience in managing third-party delivered services.

Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with SAP Ariba and/or SAP HANA and/or Oracle ERP will be advantageous.
  • Excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
