Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing activities for IT products, software, hardware, and services.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, market research, and comparative pricing analysis.
- Drive pricing negotiations, manage contract renewals, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and payment processing.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (IT, Finance, Legal, Operations) to ensure timely and accurate procurement support.
- Develop and update procurement process documentation, including workflows, SOPs, and guidelines.
- Identify gaps in current processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
- Support digitization or automation initiatives within procurement operations.
- Collaborate with the asset management or inventory teams to ensure proper documentation of IT assets procured.
- Assist with lifecycle tracking, asset receipt validation, and alignment of inventory records with procurement data.
- Provide guidance or oversight to junior procurement staff.
- Support team planning, workload management, and cross-department coordination.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Procurement, with atleast 2 years in a banking or financial services industry is preferred.
- Solid experience in IT-related procurement or technology category management.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor-facing skills.
- Prior experience in refining procurement processes is required.
- Working knowledge of procurement tools, ERP systems, and contract management platforms.
- Experience improving procurement processes and implementing operational best practices.
- Prior managerial or team-lead experience is a strong advantage.
