We are looking for a strong, accountable IT Manager who can lead the entire IT function, from daily operations and cybersecurity, to project delivery, to overseeing R&D staff (attendance, discipline, productivity). You will also be expected to drive the team, not just manage tasks.
This role has three core pillars:
IT Operations & Cybersecurity - Keep internal systems secure, stable, and efficient.
Project Management - Deliver internal and client-facing IT projects.
Team Leadership (including R&D) - Oversee attendance, discipline, and output of the IT and R&D teams.
In addition, you will use AI tools to improve how our teams work, integrate systems, and boost overall efficiency.
Manage and maintain Terra Systems internal IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud, workstations, contact centre systems).
Own cybersecurity - ensure patching, access controls, backup/recovery, threat monitoring, and compliance with client/government security requirements.
Manage IT vendors, licenses, and budgets.
Track and report on system uptime, incidents, and security posture.
Lead IT projects from initiation to closure, on time and within budget.
Types of projects include:
Internal: system upgrades, automation, infrastructure refresh
Client‑facing: contact centre technology deployment, platform integration, security solutions
Gather requirements from internal teams or external clients and translate them into actionable plans.
Manage risks, issues, schedules, and documentation.
Lead and motivate the IT and R&D teams.
Oversee staff attendance, discipline, and productivity - ensure team members are accountable and performing.
Conduct regular check‑ins, performance reviews, and coaching.
Foster a culture of ownership, punctuality, and results.
Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, automation platforms) to:
Streamline internal workflows
Integrate systems and reduce manual work
Help team members work more efficiently (e.g., automated reporting, ticketing, documentation)
Identify opportunities to apply AI in client projects and internal operations.
Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
At least 5-7 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role (team lead, supervisor, or manager).
Strong understanding of:
Networking, cloud (AWS/Azure), end‑user computing
Cybersecurity fundamentals (firewalls, endpoint protection, access management, incident response)
Proven experience managing IT projects (internal or client‑facing).
Experience overseeing R&D or technical teams - including managing attendance, discipline, and output.
Hands‑on experience or strong familiarity with AI tools for productivity and system integration.
Prior experience in a BPO, contact centre, or IT services environment is a strong plus.
Able to drive a team - not just assign tasks, but ensure people show up, perform, and improve.
Comfortable switching between operational, security, project, and people management roles.
Strong communication skills - able to work with internal teams and external clients.
Proactive, organised, and accountable.
Willing to be hands‑on when required.
