Job Title: IT Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Manager to lead our IT department in Singapore. In this role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless and secure technology operations. You will be responsible for managing IT staff, driving technology initiatives, and ensuring that IT systems align with business goals and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement the company's IT strategy in alignment with business objectives, ensuring that technology supports operational efficiency and growth.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, training, and support for career development and skill enhancement.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, storage, and cloud services.
  • Systems Administration: Manage and optimize internal systems and software, ensuring uptime, performance, and security of all IT resources.
  • Security Management: Implement IT security policies and protocols to safeguard against cyber threats, ensuring data protection, compliance with regulations, and secure access control.
  • Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts, reviewing performance, and ensuring services are delivered within budget.
  • Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects such as system upgrades, software deployments, and infrastructure expansions, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Helpdesk & Support: Oversee IT support services, ensuring efficient and timely resolution of technical issues, and providing excellent customer service to end users.
  • Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures or emergencies.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive IT documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and support logs, while preparing reports on IT performance and metrics for senior management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing a team.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, cloud computing, and virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with enterprise applications, databases, and ERP systems.
  • Solid understanding of IT security protocols, firewalls, encryption, and network monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or other project management frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises data centers.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux) and system administration.
  • Certification(s) in relevant technologies (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA Security+, ITIL) is a plus.
