Job Description

Role Summary

The IT Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and safeguarding systems against cybersecurity threats. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, take ownership of IT matters, and provide strategic guidance while also handling operational tasks. The IT Manager will have one help desk resource reporting directly to them.

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Operations & Support
  • ⁠Oversee all IT systems, hardware, and software across the company.
  • Manage end-user computing needs, including troubleshooting and support. . Supervise and mentor the helpdesk resource.
  • Systems & Applications Administer and support Finance and HR software solutions.
  • Ensure smooth integration and functionality of business applications.
  • Identity & Access Management
  • ⁠Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Implement best practices for identity management and data security.
  • Cybersecurity
  • ⁠Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and respond to incidents.
  • Conduct regular security audits and awareness training.
  • Cloud & Collaboration Tools
  • Administer Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Optimize collaboration tools to improve productivity.
  • Strategic IT Management
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to support business growth.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations and standards.

Qualifications & Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Preferred experience on the vendor side performing actual operational tasks rather than on user side managing outsourced vendors.
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace administration.
  • Familiarity with Finance and HR software systems.
  • Proficiency in identity access management and cybersecurity practices.
  • Hands-on experience with networking, servers, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • Other Requirements . Proven ability to lead and mentor junior IT staff .
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on IT trends.
