We are seeking a skilled and security-focused IT Infrastructure System Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in managing firewalls, networks, endpoints and Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure administration and a proactive approach to cybersecurity. Experience in end-user supportis a valuable asset.
Responsibilities
Firewall & Network Administration
- Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto).
- Manage network infrastructure including switches, routers, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Endpoint Management
- Administer endpoint protection platforms including Microsoft Defender Antivirus.
- Ensure compliance with security policies across all devices.
- Perform patch management and software deployment.
Security Operations
- Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and remediation.
- Collaborate with security teams to respond to incidents and threats.
System Administration
- Maintain Windows/Linux servers and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing.
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.
- Administer user accounts, licenses, groups, and permissions via Microsoft 365 Admin Center and PowerShell.
- Monitor service health, usage, and performance metrics.
End-User Support (Preferred)
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated technical issues.
- Assist users with hardware/software troubleshooting and setup.
- Document solutions and contribute to knowledge base.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and system administration.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall rules, endpoint security and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
